Snow in the desert Dec. '09
You might ask why I’m showing you a photo of snow in the desert. It’s because I want to prove to the many people out there that it actually snows in some places in Arizona. Granted, in my neck of the woods we’ve been warmer than anybody in the U.S.A. this winter it seems, even more so than Florida on some occasions. If we’re lucky we’ll get tons of rain this week (which are supposed to get), and our thirsty desert will drink it in. Our mountains will be beautiful and frosted.
That aside, I’m having a friend redesign my website soon, and I’m thrilled. I’ve been wanting a new look. As the author of books in so many different genres, I sometimes find it hard to describe what I write. Yes, at the core it’s romance. But it’s also historical, fantasy, paranormal, suspense, erotic, and often contemporary. I love it. I think if I had to write in the same subgenre of romance for the rest of my life my creativity would shrivel and die.
So designing a website that says exactly what I write is difficult. It’s not all spooky, it’s not all danger, it’s not all adventure…yet it often has those things. It’s not all erotic, at least not in an explicit sense, yet sometimes it is. Sometimes it features Roman Centurions, hunky Highlanders, contemporary Scots, contemporary Irishmen, sexy vampires, ghosts, hot SWAT team members, you name it, I’ve written it…probably.
As soon as I have my new website up, I’ll scream to you all to take a look.
Here’s to a wonderful new website launch coming to a theater near you.
Next week, a hot excerpt from MAJOR PLEASURE, my novella coming out January 27 at Ellora’s Cave.
