If Turkeys Could…

Posted by: Robie Madison   in Robie Madison

Due to the marvels of a Personal Video Recorder (PVR), I only recently caught up with the final Fall episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Entitled “Holidaze”, it follows the lives of those at Seattle Grace from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day.

Me, I celebrated Thanksgiving way back in October when the leaves were turning brilliant shades of red and gold, instead of gone. But the holiday themed episode reminded me of my favorite Thanksgiving TV episode—

Episode 7, Season 1 of WKRP in Cincinnati in which the station’s general manager, Mr. Carlson (Gordon Jump) comes up with a “top secret” promotion plan involving live turkeys.

This, naturally, got me thinking about my all time favorite final episode of a television show—a show I didn’t actually watch that often, but the end was oh so worth it because…well, I like a good trip down memory lane.

A great ending,I agree! And the T-day bit from the WKRP reminded me of the great episodes celebrating the day — Friends with Courteney Cox with a turkey on her head, Mad About You and the running joke about running to get yet another turkey … comedy done right!
